Yonge Nawe is currently undertaking research into the impacts of genetic engineering on agriculture, biodiversity, health and socio-economic conditions in Swaziland.  The organisation is also interested in impacts of genetic modification on food security (including emergency food distribution), traditional agriculture and intellectual property rights.

This is a new area of campaigning for Yonge Nawe, and we are working closely with our regional and international partners in the Friends of the Earth International network.
