surface:
The salty form accounts for
97.5% of this water
with only 2.5% being fresh
water.
Of this fresh water:
87.5% is made up of ice
12% is subterranean water
(shallow ground water springs)
0.04% is in the form of water
vapour
0.5% consists of surface water
(this is the water we use everyday). Therefore, only
0.008% of the world’s water
is easily available for our use.

Every year, 25 million people
die from diseases caused by drinking polluted or dirty water and from unhealthy
environments.
More than 7 children die every
8 seconds as a result of water pollution.
